Szymanowski Quartet Since its founding in 1995, the Szymanowski Quartet has developed into one of the most remarkable string quartets of its generation. The ensemble delights its audiences with sophisticated programs, performed with a perfect balance between intellect and passion. It is a frequent guest at prestigious festivals and concert halls in Europe and the US. Numerous prizes and awards, among them at the competitions in Melbourne, Osaka, and Florence, confirm the ensemble's extraordinarily high standard. The quartet studied chamber music with Hatto Beyerle at the University of Music and Drama in Hanover. In addition to its busy concert schedule, the Szymanowski Quartet has polished its interpretations by working regularly with Isaac Stern, Walter Levin, the Amadeus and Emerson Quartets, the Juilliard String Quartet, the Guarneri Quartet, and, recently, in dialogue with Alfred Brendel. Since autumn of 2000 the quartet has taught a chamber music class at the Hanover University of Music and Drama. In addition to Classical and Romantic repertoire, the Szymanowski Quartet also frequently performs works by contemporary composers. The quartet was a member of the BBC's New Generation Artists scheme, and numerous recordings from various BBC concert series document its artistic versatility. A CD with works of Haydn, Bacewicz, and Dvořák was released in spring of 2006. In autumn 2009 the label Cavi-music published "Paris", the first part of a 3-CD-series, in which the Szymanowski Quartet explores the work and influences of its patron, Karol Szymanowski, throughout three of the most important musical centres at the beginning of the 20th century: Paris, Vienna and Moscow. Future Engagements In the 2009/10 season the Szymanowski Quartet returns two times to the USA and follows re-invitations to New York, Washington D. C., San Diego and others. Furthermore, the Szymanowski Quartet e. g. plays at the Bayer AG Leverkusen, returns to the Wigmore Hall London, and gives a concert at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg together with the Jerusalem Quartet. Moreover, the Szymanowski Quartet appears at numerous renowned festivals such as the Schumannfest in Salzburg, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Adrian Brendel's chamber music festival "Music at Plush", and Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker. At the Zeist Music Days (Netherlands), the Szymanowski Quartet performs alongside Paul Meyer (clarinet) and Alexej Ogrintchouk (oboe). A cooperation with Oleg Maisenberg leads the Quartet e. g. to the Concert House Vienna. Together with Kit Armstrong the Szymanowski Quartet will present piano quartets and quintets, for example on the occasion of the 80th anniversary festivities for Alfred Brendel at the Musikverein Vienna and at the Gewandhaus Leipzig.

2008年起，齊瑪諾夫斯基絃樂四重奏於每年六月在烏克蘭Lviv舉辦以其團名為標題的「齊瑪諾夫斯基絃樂四重奏與朋友們」音樂節（Szymanowski Quartet and Friends），2009年更邀請Oleg Maisenberg大師共襄盛舉。2009/2010樂季，齊瑪諾夫斯基絃樂四重奏再度受邀前往奧地立維也納音樂廳，薩爾茲堡莫札特音樂院、舒曼音樂節、德國Schwetzingen音樂節、英國Wigmore Hall、BBC「新世代音樂家」系列音樂會、西班牙、亞洲及北美巡演。
